Why do I need to have teeth removed?

Teeth are removed for a variety of reasons, ranging from decay to fracture, impacted teeth, or to remove permanent teeth to make space for orthodontic treatments. Dr. Dalgliesh can also remove teeth to prepare for All-On-4 procedures.

A surgical tooth extraction is typically required for teeth that cannot be easily or readily accessed, that have become broken under the gum line or have not fully erupted through the gum.

Sedation for multiple tooth extraction

In cases where dental anxiety is at issue, sedation becomes a good option. We are able to offer different forms of sedation, ranging from oral medication, to intravenous deep sedation techniques. These sedation techniques are safe and effective, and your care and comfort are always our foremost concern.

What can I expect after my extraction procedure?

With modern dental techniques, tooth extraction is no longer the painful process typically identified in years past and you should not feel any pain during the extraction. Most patients will experience a few days of discomfort following an extraction and will require analgesics. Following the extraction, a simple home care regimen and follow up will help mitigate complication risks. We provide these instructions to you.
