Oral Sedation

Oral sedation is a prescribed pill that helps you to relax during your procedure. Soon after taking oral sedation, you will start to feel calm and more relaxed.

What to Expect From Oral Sedation

Depending on the total dose given, oral sedation can range from minimal to moderate. The pill will make you drowsy, although you will still be awake.

A larger dose may be given to produce moderate sedation. After taking oral sedation you can start to feel calm and a little bit drowsy.

Since every patient experiences the effects of oral sedation differently, we ask that someone drives you home afterwards.
